ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER

“Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.” – 1 Thes 5:11

ENCOURAGE is the word for today. I want to encourage you to encourage others. It’s amazing how encouraged you feel after encouraging someone else. The Bible says, “We reap what we sow.” (Gal 6:7) If you sow encouraging words into the lives of the people around you, then you will in turn be encouraged. However, the same is true if you sow discouragemen...t in others, you yourself will be discouraged. Maybe you are the one who needs encouragement today. There is no better way to be encouraged then to go out and encourage someone else. Whatever your need, go out and sow that seed.

With so much negativity and discouragement in this world, we need to be encouraged and we need to encourage others. People can always see the worst in themselves but they can’t always see the GOOD that’s in them. It’s our job to call out those seeds of greatness in others and to encourage them to be all that God has created them to be. This is one of my favorite things to do - to call out the seeds of greatness in others and help them rise up to do and be all that God has purposed them to be.

Let me ask you…are you encouraging those around you today? It’s easy to encourage when someone is doing something “right”. But what about, when your spouse, friend, or co-worker isn’t doing anything right…are you still going to find something to encourage them with? Are you going to find the good in them? Are you going to help draw out the gifts inside the people that God has placed in your path? There is good in everyone; we just need to help draw it out! When you help someone else rise up higher, God will help you rise up higher. When you brighten someone else’s day, God will brighten your day. You will reap what you sow.

There’s enough negativity and discouragement in this world. Let’s speak life-giving words and encourage the people that God puts in our path today. Make others feel better after being around you! Encourage your spouse, encourage your kids, encourage your family & friends so they will WANT to be around you. When you are focused on serving God and others, God will take care of you and you will be blessed for being a blessing to others! I challenge you to be the most ENCOURAGING person that you know!
